I have an older RCA 52" ws HDTV Monitor. I am using a HDMI to DVI adapter (plug from 360 to dvi cable) to connect to my TV. I have tried all resolution options and the only two that display anything are 640 x 480 and 848 x 480, which is dissapointing in itself, but when I use the 848 there is a big black bar along the left side of the picture and when I use the 640 it is a tiny black bar (small but noticable.) Needless to say I am bummed as I was looking forward to upscaling my dvds to 1080i but it seems my "1080i" tv is a hunk o garbage. I almost think the Component cables were better. Anyone have any clues as to what gives with the black bars, or any suggestions how to get the most from my new 360 pro with hdmi and older rca?

The dispaly options on my TV are limited to say the least... Please no "get a new tv posts," I need a new house first. :) When I get a new TV it'll be a bad mama jamma but that's a bit off atm.
