wii MOD options?

ok im getting my wii next week =) from ebay dont worry from an extra 15 bucks of 250 it was a deal i couldnt refuse = D ok so now im ready to enter the wii underground as of now the only mod chip soldering i have done is my xbox 1.0. here are some wii questions?

1) of all of these wii mod chips which one should i get?

2) if firmware of mod chip needs to be updated where can i find it?

3) what brand of dvds can i use universaly (meaning i can use to burn home dvd xbox games and wii games?

4) if the mod chip that you guys and gals<-which i doubt) tell me is a quick solder one can i use wires to solder it in?

5) i tried to get the dvd drive for wii games but newegg doesnt sellem any more where is the best spot to get them?
