im thinking about just reinstalling m33 fw and putting the eboot in the recovery folder and running it from the recovery menu but im not sure that would have good results =/

Every update i've ever used was run from the xmb on the psp. That is still the case with the factory firmware however I figured out you must put the EBOOT.PBP on the memory stick/PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder, not just the game folder and your must rename the whatever eboot you downloaded to EBOOT.PBP and it is ALL case sensitive including the folder names. Hope this helps someone
