psp firmware help sorry im new to this

right i had a psp with a non working umd drive and its upgraded to fw 3.40 sonys offical one and all i want to do is run games from the memory stick in full or iso format and i havent got a clue which firmware i need or how to do it properly everytime i try to use custom firmware it just keeps displaying as corrupted data on the psp or (the game couldnot be loaded) with a error code ive been reading loads of tut's and guides but im really stuck so any help would be grateful

ok first of all you will need to downgrade your psp to 1.50 seeing as you have a non working umd drive the best way for you is the pandora's battery and memory stick you can read about that here

you will need someone with a homebrew enabled psp to create the battery for you,once you downgrade to 1.50 there is a number of custom firmwares for you to help you play games from the memory stick,but seeing as you have a non working umd drive 3.52m33 is the one for you as it has the best no umd needed driver(around 98% of iso's work)

ive got my hands on a working psp with firmaware 3.52 its a jap one but i dont think that wud mater will it? but i still none further forward with this and i was wondering what i have to do again i have loads of custom firwares i downloaded in a pack but will i still have to do the pandora method or will it be easier now i have a working umd drive? sorry for all the questions i just really wanna get this working .
