HELP!! needed in downgrading to 1.50

upgrade from FW 2.81 to 3.03
and wanted to downgrade to 1.50
got to the stage where i can select PSP Update Ver X.YZ
however, when click, it shows
The game could not be started.
(80020148)
anyone can help me pls?

u have to be running 1.50 or a custom firmware to do that..
right now ur best bet is pandoras battery <--- search around for detials on it. i think its stickied

i'm using GTA unpatched to downgrade
the only method i know for FW 2.81
as i had 2.81 at first
so e method is upgrade to 3.03, den downgrade to 1.5 right?

Yes, you can do the method you're wanting to.

I don't know much about the GTA downgrader, but i'll try, can you tell me all the steps you've taken so far?
PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

thank you for helping me
so far the steps
from 2.81
i d/l a 3.03 update into the folder and install the upgrade
it was fine, there was a 3.03 on the info tab
den from 3.03 to 1.50
i d/l a 3.03 downgrade package which includes the ms_root folder
so i copy the whole folder inside
den i d/l a 1.50 update file
from http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/36
den i rename the eboot.PBP to update .PBP and copy it to my psp_game_update folder
den i manage to run GTA and e screen went black, went to the start screen
and the info changes from 3.03 to 3.03 HEN
den i went to memory stick tabe and found PSP Update Ver X.YZ
and select, but c ame out the error

Here is a guide for downgrading any current PSP hardware version
(TA-079 - TA-086) from firmware 2.81-3.03 to 1.50.
IMPORTANT:

Requirements
------------
In order to downgrade a 3.03 PSP you will need the following:
- Original GTA LCS (any region), which should have the 2.00 update on the disc.
- 3.03 Downgrader (this package)

Instructions
------------
Here are the steps to downgrade any 3.03 PSP to 1.50:
1 - If you have a 3.03 PSP skip to step 6
2 - Download 3.03 update from here:

3 - Unzip and place the file in <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
4 - On the PSP, run the 3.03 update from the memory stick under the Game menu.
5 - Delete <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
6 - Copy the contents of the folder MS_ROOT from the 3.03 downgrader ZIP to
the memory stick
7 - Unzip the 1.50 update to a temporary folder. Rename the EBOOT.PBP to
UPDATE.PBP and copy it to <pspdrive>:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ . DO NOT
OVERWRITE PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP!
8 - Load GTA LCS
9 - It should get to loading savegame, then the screen will clear to black
and fill with a light blue colour, then the PSP will reset itself (if
this does not happen see section below)
10 - Check that HEN is running by going to system settings, then to
"System Information" and it should show up as system version
303 HEN
11 - If it is showing up as HEN then go to the memory stick and
run the x.yz update
12 - If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be
prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it
can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed
without patching, if your motherboard requires it.
13 - Before the downgrader does anything to your PSP it will ask
for you to agree to what it is doing, if you no longer want to
continue press the Right Shoulder Button (R-TRIGGER).
14 - Once you have agreed to start the downgrade do not unplug the
PSP, or try and restart it
15 - Once finished the PSP will ask you to press X, and reset itself
16 - If it comes up saying that the settings are corrupt, press x
to continue, this will mean you will need to re-enter the
settings for network connections into your PSP, otherwise go to
step 18
17 - Load the included NetConfigBackup application in your PSP, and select to
restore, this will take the backup that was done of the network config
that was done automatically during the downgrade.
but only manage to get to step 11 only

The error code you're getting:
* 80020148 = PRX type unsupported
Explanation: This error comes up when you try to use emulators, homebrew, etc. on a psp with version 1.52 and higher.
Have you made sure in systm info it says 3.03 HEN?
And make sure you've got the right files in the right place.

It would be kinda hard to help with only the Information you provided. Thats like calling up a mechanic and say my car isn't working any ideas why it isn't?
What problems are you having with your network config?

that was the given step how ever when i select the application,
the game could not be started came out again

Your net settings don't really matter, unless you can't be bothered entering them again when you want to connect to the net on it...
Just upgrade to 3.52 M33, then try again if you have to.
