Wii and WiiKey update question

newbie here. My Wii (NTSC-US, modded a few months ago) has been updated to 3.0 from the Metroid Prime 3 game. I know there is another update (internet fix?), but should I do that update before I update my wiikey (to 1.9b)? Right now Pokemon and Carnival Games will not work (they are back-ups).Thanks for any help.

Never mind. Metroid Prime 3's update was not to 3.0. My version is 2.2U. I updated the WiiKey firmware to 1.9b. The wierd thing was when I loaded the update (unofficial WiiKey 1.9b) the Wii remote did not work. After the update it told me to hit the A button or Reset to test it (I hit reset). It worked fine, but it would not restart (yes I hit the reset button). I hit eject and ejected the DVD and then put the DVD back in and it ran the firmware update once more (whoops). I know better than to shut it off at this point so I let it run. It updated the firmware (again) but it gave me a different message. It just said DO NOT POWER DOWN! After it updated and tested it again (the reset button) I ejected the firmware and hit reset and you could hear Homer Simpson say something before restarting. Sorry this post is so long! Pokemon and Carnival do work now.
