yes it's the real deal and yes it will work with your firmware,
download the file and extract with winrar,
connect psp to pc via usb,
double click on the file you downloaded follow the instructions,
this will place all the files in the right folders,
once the process is finished disconnect the psp from pc,
make sure the battery is 75% or more,
connect the psp to your ac adaptor,
go to game on the xmb now run the m33 update.
voila you're on 3.52m33 i have done about 7 psp's with this with a 100% success rate

I'm planning on getting 3.52M33 but i need to know something.Can i use the recovery if the upgrade fails?I'm scared it fails half way and recovery doesn't work.I have 3.40OE-A.

I.e. If i upgrade to like 32% then it shuts down for no reason,then can i use the recovery from 3.40OE-A?This is important.Thanks people.

@kikzm33z

More then likely you would brick if that happened and you probably wouldn't be able to use recovery.

But the chances are slim if you have your PSP plugged in and it is over 75% (I would recommend 100%) and you have installed the upgrade files correctly.

You risked it going to 3.40 OE-A so going to 3.52 M33-4 is the same risk as when you went to 3.40 OE-A.

Thanks for your help in regards to popstation. I had difficulty getting DINO CRISIS 2's speech issue (the characters speech were mute, although the rest of sound effects were OK).

Someone in a different forum said that I should:

"I had the same problem. You need (3) .prx's from v3.10oe. Put them
in your seplugins\popsloader directory.

pafmini.prx -----> renamed to pafmini310.prx
pops.prx -------> renamed to pops310.prx
popsman.prx ---> renamed to popsman310.prx"

And after I followed your guide, and renaming those files and placing them in the correct folder, the issue was gone! they have speech now! (I had to choose the 3.10 from the menu) and I am running 3.52 M33-4)

Now, question for you:

I know that the system REMEMBERS the setting that you initially choose, but what if you want to change it? How can you force the system to show they firmware versions again?

Thanks!

You see, when I was upgrading, I got my friend to do it because he had a JigKick(before Pandora was out)so it would be totally safe.He lives in HK so I can't give my PSP to him to upgrade.And I don't want to make a Pandora.Oh, BTW, I done a successful upgrade anyways.Now I'm on 3.71M33, waiting for the 1.5 kernel.Thanks anyways.
