I am buying a new WII. Can you use a new WII to mod or does it have to be an older one? Also can someone tell me what is the best mod to use @ the moment.

There's a whole thread on what chips are recommended. You'll find it at the top of the forums in bold.

To answer your first question, it's 50/50 really on the new wii's. You can put your serial number into this tracker:

http://nintendo-scene.com/wiitracker/search.php

and find out if you can mod it or not.

There is no right or wrong in which chip to get... I love my CycloWiz, but some people think they are junk! I feel the same about Wii Key, but loads of people love this chip.

Just read through posts, look at sites, but I would only bother considering the 3 main chips:

WiiKey
Winja Delux
CycloWiz V2

Yeah, you're right because I wouldn't consider wiinja deluxe as one of the three "main" chips. LOL. I would put that chip at the bottom of the stack!
