So I put it on and some roms work fine and some don't (major slowdown and sound problems).

My kernel is 1.5 and I put in the 1.5 Snestyl directory in my PSP/GAME folder.

Maybe it is because:

1. The software acceleration setting is wrong

2. I like playing the games in fullscreen

Any advice here is greatly appreciated!

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

I started messing with the settings more and found out there is a frame skip option in the video menu.

If you push it up to past 10, it becomes auto and that seems to fix a lot of problems with my games.

Things are looking up!

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

It doesn't always solve the problem on some games. I even tried overclocking to 333Mhz and that didn't do the trick either.

Any ideas?

I don't know what to tell you. In 333mhz mode with auto frame-skip I remember playing FF6 without slowdowns. Which game are you trying to play that is running slow?

Kirby Super Star runs horrible.

I tried to run Mystic Quest Legend and it only loads the title screen, if I press start it blacks out.

I can't unlock the Special Circuit on Super Punch-Out! I need to turn off speed hacks (I can do this) and delete the sram for the game (no idea how to do that) because speed hacks and save states prevents you from unlocking special circuit.

My favorite two RPGs are Lufia I & II and they run fine, so I am satisfied.

I need to test the roms on Snes9x and see what happens.

Do all games run better in 333Mhz mode?

Thanks to everyone for enlightening me!

It reduces the amount of frame skipping necessary to run the game at full/near-full speed. If you can avoid using 333mhz you'll obviously have better battery life though.

I'm really hoping that the coders can make use of the updated PSP 2000 to help the games run smoother.
