I can't watch streaming video help

Hi I can't watch streaming video and I run xp media this just started a month ago I also use explorer 7.0 and firefox and it does it in both. I only get part of the video then it stops somtimes it continues to load but Im on a cable 700+ conecttion. so it should be doing that. can anyone help me?
