Is there any way to download stuff, demos, trailers, ect, from the PS Store and then send them to my PS3. I have a 20GB. PS3 which means no wifi. It would be great to download demos on my laptop and them dump them to the PS3. Any thoughts?

^ He says he has no internet on his PS3 so he wants to download demos to his PC and transfer them to his PS3. Read before you write.

I don't think that's possible. But you can connect your PS3 to wired connection.

I am currently sharing the internet connection to my PS3 from my laptop via ethernet. But downloading anything this way is so slow. It literally took me 34.5 hrs to get heavenly sword. Just that fact that I timed it says something about how slow it is. We wern't meant to live like this people. Without the ability to pause and resume downloads I'd be screwed. I am working on the darkness now and I am at about 30%. At this rate I should be able to play it by Xmas. I was hoping to be able to download demos from the PS Store using my laptop. That way I could use download accelerator or something similar. My laptop will download at around 300k per sec, which is light years faster than my PS3. Just surfing the PS Store is coma inducing. If there isn't way to DL directly to my computer, does anyone have any ideas on how to speed up my PS3. I am not sure where the speed goes but by the time the internet reaches the Playstation it is pretty much dead. Thanks for the help guys, this forum rocks.

Are you not able to just plug your modem directly into your PS3 when you need to? would be alot easier than what your trying to do. I used to do it myself, had modem going into PC and PC send it wirelessly (where your wired is) to PS3 using connection sharing but I kept getting connection dropouts (which I think is actually more of an issue with my modem than anything) eventually I decided to just wire it straight into the PS3 but leave the settings in such a way that it could be changed back to wireless easily (in your case back to via PC) . I was pleasantly surprised that my PS3 came with a 3m or so ethernet cable, most company's cheap out and give you only a short one.

The modem is upstairs and the PS3 is in the basement. A direct connection is close to impossible. Would probably need a 200 ft ethernet cable. I don't think the rest of the family would appreciate that too much.

In that case you might want to try going over to ps3news.com (as much as I hate sending them traffic, coz they're complete twats) in their PS3 section of the forums there will be a list of all the PSN files available and links to download them. After that search the net on how to use PS3proxy to install them.
