MKV HD files to regular DVD? Is this possible?

Hi everyone,

Im new to the site and wanna say "hello" to all. I currently have few files that downloaded off the internet. They are HD files in .mkv format. I've tried using convertxtodvd to see if its possible to convert it into regular dvd but its not allowing me. The files are 2-4 GIG big so it should fit into a standard dvd. Is there anything out there that can make me it viewable in standard dvd?

ConvertxtoDVD is all I've ever used for mkv but see if this is any use. Not tried it myself: http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/157/59/

The size of the source file has no bearing on the 'fit' when converting to DVD.
