Hi, I recently bought a TA-082 psp that was downgraded to version 1.50 firmware. I tried to install 3.52 m33 on it but had no luck. The KXploit Patcher was installed but when I ran the M33Update, it said "incorrect psar". I tried the steps that were listed in a thread similar to this like using the winstaller, making the folders manually, and using the USB installer. All resulted in the same result. I;d like to know if there are any other options I have. I'm using a 2gb Sony Memory Stick Duo.

Try running it again.

Follow the steps below.

First do a deep format of your MS.

Connect the PSP to PC via USB. Now go to my computer and right click on the drive letter of your PSP drive. Choose format and select FAT32 as File System and uncheck the QUICK box then click START so it formats the MS.

After that completes format the MS again but this time use the PSP.

Now download these files below (Use these files incase you some how got a bad firmware or M33 upgrader file).

3.52 M33 HERE

3.52 firmware HERE

1.50 firmware HERE

Extract them and rename the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP and the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP and drag them into the M33CREATOR folder.

Now connect the PSP to PC via USB and place the M33CREATOR folder into the ms0:/PSP/GAME folder and run the M33CREATOR. Then try running the 3.52 M33 UPDATE that the M33CREATOR created.

Ok I tried doing the above steps mentioned but everytime I try to extract the files to the Memory STick, I keep getting an error saying it cannot find the specified files, Make sure you specify the correct path and file name. I tried it with my friends psp and the files copy perfectly fine for him. Is it because my psp is the TA-082 chipset?

You don't extract them to the MS. Download them to your PC and extract them to your PC. Rename the 3.52 file to 352.PBP and the 1.50 file to 150.PBP and drag them into the M33CREATOR folder. Now drag the M33CREATOR folder to the /PSP/GAME folder and run the M33CREATOR in the Game Menu memory Stick.

Yeah, I put the 150.EPB and 352.EPB in the M33CREATOR folder and when I tried to drag the folder to the MS, I get that error. I'm only getting the error for my PSP but when I do it on my friends, it works.
PS: What does it mean when it says Incorrect PSAR?
