So, I have read that people can flash with a sata pc card, but is there a expresscard 34 that has a VIA chipset? I have searched everywhere but I cant find any info on this. Here is my setup: Vista on a Dell Inspiron B130(which only has expresscard\34), xbox with samsung drive(sorry, not sure what model, have never opened it), and I also have XSATA by Datel(should it help). I really want to flash this thing, but it seems that everything is against me, since I have no desktop, and my laptop only has expresscard slot. Would a usb to sata cable work? Any info or links would be GREATLY appreciated.
There are add in cards but I think it's PCMIA that have the via 6421 chipset. More than likely you have the MS28 Samsung drive which can only be flashed with a via card. You can
A. Send your 360 to someone such as myself to be flashed for you.
B. Buy a VIA 6421a PCI SATA card and use it in a desktop..
C. Stay legit
Thank you for the reply. I have seen pcmia to expresscard adapters. could i get a pcmia via card and hook in through the adapter? I know that flashing can be touchy, and i wonder if it would work if using an adapter.
