So I'm starting from ground zero, and I finally have a couple hundred dollars to get me going.
Can somebody give me the name of a specific burner that is KNOWN to work already?
Preferably from this site:
Frys.com
I know it has to be DL, and I know I need the Verbatim DL DVD's.
Does it need to be -R +R or both?
Besides software, CloneCD from what I read, what else is needed?
I appreciate any and all help.

get a Pioneer DVR-111D burner. it doesn't say Dual Layer drive, but it is.
also, i wouldn't use clone CD to burn. use xbox backup creator 2.5 to rip your games with a samsung SH-D162C drive flashed with Kreon .81 firmware to rip games and use ImgBurn with correct settings to burn with your Pioneer DVR-111D (use search on this site for more info on all of the above

Personally i like the BenQ drives like the DW1655, But i have heard good things about Pioneer too.
Samsung SH-D163A or SH-D162C will also be needed if you plan to back games up from originals and that you will have to get at Ebay, It can either be flashed with Kreon firmware or you can do that yourself.
Verbatim DVD+R DL is the best media
Xbox Backup Creatore or Schtroms for ripping the game
DVD Mulleter for cheking stealth patching
IMGburn for burning the files to disc
http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll...162c&category0=
The SH-D163C is an IDE type connection and the SH-D162A is if you have SATA slots.
You can get BenQ drives at Mertline if you like, just make sure to use this page and make sure it can use Qsuite 2.0 before buying one.

Sorry, I should have been more specific on my plan.
I don't plan on burning from the original disc just yet.
At first, I plan on copying backups and burning from .iso and dvd files.

So if I have the .iso and dvd file for the game already, all I need is:
-DL Burner
-DL DVD+R (Verbatim)
-Xbox Backup Creator Software
?

Is the game patched? If not you will need SS Merger and XDVDMulleter(to insert PFI,DMI,SS.Bin and to check if the game is correctly patched).
As for Xbox Backup Creator,I cant stand it.I use Clone CD and get no problems

yeah, they're already patched.
:EDIT:
so if i have a stealth patched game that works already, do i need 2 DL burners to copy it? or do i have to rip it from the working one, to my hard drive then onto a blank disc? or can i use a regular dvd reader and burn to the DL?
