Downgrading from 3.71 official firmware

Have a friend who updated to the official Sony 3.71, is there a way to downgrade it with a game (Lumines or GTA LCS) or do I have to have him get a Pandora's battery. I've never done the battery method, so any help would be appreciated.

you will need to use pandora's battery. lumines can only do 3.50, and lcs is 2.8 i believe.
pandora's battery has to be created on a cfw psp, so if you're running one, then you can make the battery and memory stick.

You have to do it using a PSP that already has cracked firmware like 3.40 oe-a? What do you mean you can make the battery and memory stick? Sorry, don't get it.

exactly. a custom firmware psp is needed. there is no way to create a pandora's battery without one.

wow that looks realy dumb,most noobs can't even find what firmware they are on never mind open up a battery and fiddle with the insides lol

I recon u got a point there lol............
I tryed that method myself but all i ended up with is a fried battery i wouldnt recomend it for noobs...
