Hey guys can anyone help?? ive got a psp ver 1.6 and need to mod it they say there's good software out there now but I cant seem to be able to find it??? can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some help??? cheers disturbia fan!

once you upgrade to 2.71 official sony you can then downgrade your psp to 1.50 using the guide i linked you to,once at 1.50 you can upgrade to any custom firmware (3.40oe or 3.52m33-4 are the best ones-but 3.52m33-4 is the latest one and best out of the 2)

lol don't worry about you will still need to upgrade to 2.71 to downgrade,open your umd tray look in the top right hand corner can you see any writing on the motherboard(the green bit)if you can let me know

ok upgrade to 2.71 and use the guide for 2.71 (not 2.71 ta-82)

Sorry for the slow replys im at work today =-(... so all i should do is follow -2.60 PSP/2.50 PSP ..
after doing this all i'll need to do is create a games folder/iso no need to downgrade...?

no worrys lol,
~2.60/2.50 PSP~
Currently it is faster to first update to 2.71 and then use the generic 2.71 downgrader guide.
Advantages
-Don't need GTA
-Don't need helper files
Download: 2.71 Update
1. Copy the 2.71 Update renamed to EBOOT.PBP to X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE
2. Run from the PSP
then once you do that go to the -2.71 PSP part of the page of the link i posted and follow the instructions this will downgrade you to 1.50
once you've done all that let me know and i'll get you upto a custom firmware then you can run isos from memstick

rename it to EBOOT.PBP,make a folder called update put the file in there now put the update folder in the game folder on your psp via usb,now disconnect the psp from pc scroll to game and press X find the update and execute it (press X lol) this will update to 2.71

ok now im on 2.71 what file should i be downloading now... is it 1.5..if so ive done so but it looks like what has downloaded and what the picture shows are different..?

right now you need to follow the steps for 2.71 (not the 2.71 ta-82 one) on the link i posted above

ok so ive moves all folders over, when i rename EBOOT_1.50.zip to UPDATE.PBP. and move it over to UPDATE folder, go back in to the psp then slide start..nothing happens as there is no slide show..then i go back to the update software and the system tells me that the update.pbp is a currupted file???? so many files???? we'll get there in the end...

eboot 1.50 zip?????? i think you need to extract that with winrar
Files needed for 2.71 PSP
Generic Downgrade Files
1.5 Update
1. Open the downloaded files
-From the 271dg.zip extract every thing to your PSP's root (X:\)
Spoiler for Example:
-Now take the EBOOT.PBP that within the EBOOT_1.50.zip file and rename it to UPDATE.PBP. Then copy the file to X:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE folder.
2. Connect the AC adapter to the PSP highlight the PHOTO icon and then press Trianglethen Slideshow
A Few things could happen
- The PSP freezes, just restart manually and try again.
- Red screen the process has failed.Reset manually and try again.
- Blue or green screen the process was a success the PSP will reset itself.
Note: For the next few steps make sure your battery is charged to at least 75% and your charger plugged in.
3. Go to GAME and run the UPDATE X.YZ.
-If your battery is less than 75%, the PSP will restart without displaying any errors.
-If everything goes well then it will display something like this Doing preparationsandExtracting special PRXs.
4. After the screen will change to magenta or pink text Press X
-The downgrade will show a percentage bar.
5. When it finishes it will say to press X and the PSP will restart itself.
6. Welcome to 1.5

it says you need the adaptor but it is a pain in the........(you know what)just keep trying it,i know ppl that took over 20 attempts to do this lol,also make sure your battery is over 75%,let me know when you do manage to do it and i'll help you install a custom firmware(this will enable you to play games from your memstick)you can either let me know by posting or you can send me a private message (just click the little head in the righthand corner of my posts if you want to send me a private message)

download the file,connect your psp to pc via usb,double click on the 3.52m33 winstaller,follow the instructions this will place all the files needed in the right folders for you,once the process is finished go to game on the psp and run the xploit patch,once you done that run the m33 upgrader but makesure battery is 75% or over and connected to ac adaptor
