Well I let a friend try it and he did this. The Wii still works but as you can see the points are gone. I'm gonna try sodring on the leg of the chip my self. What some tips for a first timer?

thats what I'm gonna try. I'm gonna score some 30awg today and maybe try and sharpen a tip for my iron. One question I have, on the Wiikey chip out of the 2 big solder points. Witch is ground and witch is positive?

PS: My iron has 2 settings. 500 or 900 degrees. I should be using the 500 setting right?

Ya, you should be fine with the 500 temperature! If you get it too hot, you can burn the board! Only tip that I have, is have a Steady Hand! My hands shake too much, so I have something hold the soldering iron, and I just push it down, and pull it back up!

Only if you want to! People do that, just in case the points come off, so they don't have to keep opening it, and soldering it back on! Just remember that it takes a whole lot of time to take the glue off!
