OK, I have a bunch of game saves on my 360, mainly Oblivion, which is fun. But my account has run out and I do not want to renew the current one(long story) So I will buy a new activation 12 month gold and a new name. So if I delete this current account will the saves go with it or are the saves generic to the console. I don't want to lose the saves!.

why not just change your gamertag name,delete all your friends and its the same as a new account.
just a thought.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

it would cost him more, u could import the game saves i believe, but i'm not sure how, but i would imagine it's possible somehow?? i'd guess you might have to do a little digging but i would assume it's somehow possible unless it's tied to specific tags like non-transferable.

How do you figure that? Changing your gamer tag will cost 800 MS points. You can get a 1600 point card at newegg.com for $25 (shipping included)
A new 12 month card will cost ou $10 more. Not to mention you have to buy a kit to transfer the saves ($15 + shipping).
I say just change the gamertag. If not then you can buy the 12 month card and this:

just makes sense to me, i just wounder what happened that makes him not want to renew his current account.

maybe he has a bad rep or something who know's, oh and i wouldn't take that personal, i know i don't know everything, so if someone is more knowledgeable on a subject then I, i'll admit and step back.

Man does everyone jump every gun. I bought the 360 used, thus it it under another msn account, which is not mine, but I want to keep the saves and I have been playing Oblivion a long time. Jeez La Weez.
