there are two options:
- update to 3.50 and downgrade with lumines(unpatched)
- use pandora's battery/magic memory card
i haven't done the lumines downgrade myself, but the other member who have will help you out. as for pandora's battery/mmc, you'll need access to a psp running custom firmware to create them.
ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd

since you're on 3.40 oe-a, you can go straight to 3.52 m33. some people suggest to go back to 1.50 first, and then update to 3.52 m33 because a few have had problems updating from OE.

Below are the files you will need.
3.52 M33 HERE
3.52 M33-4 HERE
3.52 firmware HERE
1.50 firmware HERE
You can upgrade to 3.52 M33 straight from your OE version.
Format your MS so you can start fresh when installing the M33 CFW (You might wanna backup your gamedata folder) then Download the 3.52 M33 CFW linked above. Extract the file.
Download both the 1.50 and 3.52 firmware. You need to re-name the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP. Then add them to the M33CREATOR folder.
Now copy the M33CREATOR folder to the PSP MS directory of ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.
Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.
After you run the M33CREATOR it should reboot back to the XMB. It should have created a 3.52 M33 update which you need to select in the Game Menu Memory Stick.
It will flash the files to the PSP and you should be at 3.52 M33 firmware. If it is then format your MS.
Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update.
Drag the PSP folder inside that update folder into the root of the MS overwriting the files when it asks you to. Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the m33-4 update. This will only take a few seconds.
After the update is finished check and make sure it says 3.52 M33-4 for firmware. If it does say 3.52 m33-4 then format the MS 1 more time.
You are now updated to 3.52 M33-4.
You don't need to worry about the seplugin folder in the 3.52 M33-4 update if your not going to play PSX games. If you are then let me know and I will explain what that plugin is all about.

As I said in the other thread you posted. If you went to the PSP site to downloaded the 3.52 firmware then you actually downloaded the 3.71 firmware which is the most current and will not work for 3.52 M33 CFW.
Download the 3.52 firmware HERE and rename it to 352.PBP and replace it with the other 352.PBP file that isnt working.

Chances of bricking are xtreemly low?
You serious?
I always panic when i uprade. So i charge my battery 100%,
AC Adapter Plugged in.
-------PSP M33 Update
Writing 3.52... 28%
---------
Here's where i usually panic and keep staring at my PSP Screen.
BTW, look at how many times i've upgraded.
(It's in my sig.)

yes i'm serious lol as long as you keep your battery 75% or above and connected to ac adaptor and you follow the instructions there should be no problems if ppl brick then they were either very unlucky or they skipped a step in the instructions lol,and the best way to avoid the panic is to start the upgrade and just walk away from it lol

the game cannot be started... why? i am using 3.40oe
the reason i updated to m33 was cause 3.40 couldnt run the games i wonted to run.
so if your playing your psp for psp games then you need m33, but if your playing your psp for the exact opisite (psx games) then you can get 3.40 but i have a playstation for playing psx games anyway.

make sure the M33CREATOR folder is in the /PSP/GAME folder. If it doesn't start try going into the Recovery Menu configuration and change the GAME FOLDER menu to 1.50 (It might not make a difference but give it a try).
@skyda
If you use the popsloader plugin for 3.52 M33-4 then most all PSX games will work. (Game that require dual shock will not start but that is the same for all CFW versions)
