thinking of buying a new box and I was just wondering which box is now better.

Dream box 500 - possibility of it being a clone espically if bought from ebay

Dbox2 sagem - seems to be many different types of covers. people have reported problems keeping them working. Does anyone have a working box that does not require constant maintenance

Dbox2 nokia - not being made anymore. seems to be the most popular

Starview - codes have to be entered manually. clones die from new flash

Starview 2 THE BOX- not sure

Can anyone share their opinions on the above. did I miss anything
How about price for each

Thanks was thinking that is was down to the dbox2 or the dreambox 500c. noticed that the dbox2 is now becoming hard to get and I am afraid of buying a dreambox from ebay because chances are that it would be a clone.

waiting on offical distributors from portugal to reply with cost of shipping to ireland. price seems to be 169 euro but not sure if vat is extra

Uk suppliers have a higher markup works out around 230 euro + p&p which is also around 30 euro. more than getting it from germany or the rest of the EU IMO.

The portugese should be paying local tax, then when imported within the EU you are not liable to pay duty or vat.

A guy online said these work in dublin- I havent had one so it is not my word.

I presume they are clones at that price, but some clones are better than others. I would personally only get nokias

Portuguese official reseller will only accept bank draft from everywhere except Spain and Portugal.
Deliver is by registered post.

Does anybody know if registered post is insured for any amount

Just don't want to be caught with a clone or even worse is there anything stopping him from banking the money and sending nothing

Is this normal business practice
