Best DVD medium for 79 drives?

What is best DVD medium for 79 drives? Do memorex DVDs work?

Memorex is garbage. Just from my experience i have found that if the dvd drive has the original laser that came with it that it will more than likely read it. All the replacement lasers ive bought will not read memorex.
Get verbatim media or equivelent and you will be ok.
Just the other day a drive of mine that would read memorex quit reading a backup that was burned on memorex and the disc was not scratched. So basically your just wasting your money buying that media. Hope that answers your question.

well the 360 and drive is new, and Ive always used memorex in past for movies, Wii Games, and didnt seem to have any issues with those.

Listen to what he says and get Verbatim. Movies will burn on just about any old media. Doesn't mean the discs are any good.
Memorex (AKA Memosux) are about the worst name brand media you can buy. So if you want to spend less and pay later when it wears out your laser, be my guest.

So will a Verbatim DVD+R DL suffice (since all games are nearly 8 gig)

Yes, for a 360 they will work great. Most games really are not 8GB though, most are more in the 6 to 7GB range. But the disc holds 8.5 anyway so i have not had one yet that i have seen that was bigger.
