You can not go from 3.11 offical firmware to 3.52 M33. You need to downgrade to 1.50 then upgrade to 3.52 m33 custom firmware.

You have 2 options to downgrade to 1.50.

1) Update to 3.50 and downgrade using the Lumines Downgrader which you will need an unpatched version of Lumines game.

Here is a GUIDE for this option. Look under the 3.10 - 3.50 section.

OR

2) Use the Pandora Battery unbricker/downgrader method. You will need a PSP that has 1.50 or custom firmware already installed on it to create the Pandora Battery.

Here is the GUIDE to create the Pandora battery.

@sesko

What is your PSP firmware?

1.50 and emulating 3.11 using Dechook?

or

3.11?

@sesko

you'll need to update to a custom firmware to get ghost recon 2 to work. update to 3.52 m33-4, and you'll have no problems. devhook won't be used anymore because games will just play straight from the xmb

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

3.52 m33-4 is a custom firmware. Custom firmware is just like Official firmware but it adds more options then the official firmware does. It will let you actually do things that you do with Devhook but easier.

There are no loading of files to boot your ISO game disc. All you do is place them in the ISO folder and launch them straight from the Game Menu Memory Stick.

It combines both 1.50 and 3.52 kernel. So if you have homebrew that requires 1.50 kernel no problem. Place the homebrew in the /PSP/GAME150 folder or place it in the /PSP/GAME folder and change the kernel to 1.50 in recovery mode.

If you are intrested in upgrading below are the steps. You can always recover back to 1.50 if you don't like the 3,52 M33 CFW. But I have a feeling you will end up liking it better then loading Devhook.

3.52 M33 HERE

3.52 M33-4 HERE

3.52 firmware HERE

1.50 firmware HERE

Download the 3.52 M33 CFW linked above. Extract the file.

Download both the 1.50 and 3.52 firmware. You need to re-name the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP. Then add them to the M33CREATOR folder.

Now copy the M33CREATOR folder and the kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders to the PSP MS directory of ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the KXploit Permanent Patcher. It should run and say patched successfully and reboot back to the XMB.

Now go to game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.

After you run the M33CREATOR it should reboot back to the XMB. It should have created a 3.52 M33 update which you need to select in the Game Menu Memory Stick.

It will flash the files to the PSP and you should be at 3.52 M33 firmware. If it is then format your MS.

Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update.

Drag the PSP folder that is in the update M33-4 into the root of the MS overwriting the files when it asks you to. Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the m33-4 update. This will only take a few seconds.

After the update is finished check and make sure it says 3.52 M33-4 for firmware. If it does say 3.52 m33-4 then format the MS 1 more time.

You are now updated to 3.52 M33-4.

You don't need to worry about the seplugin folder in the 3.52 M33-4 update if your not going to play PSX games. If you are then let me know and I will explain what that plugin is all about.

--------------------------------------------------------

here are the steps if you don't like the CFW and went to go back to 1.50.

Download this RECOVERY file and extract it.

Place the Extracted RECOVERY folder in the /PSP/GAMES folder.

Now go into recovery mode by holding the power button up till the PSP turns off. Then hold the R shoulder button down keeping it down while turning on the PSP.

This will boot you into recovery menu. Select the RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP and follow the on screen instructions which will recover you back to 1.50 firmware.
