right i just bought a Samsung SH-D162C and now i heard that i need to buy SATA PCI Card so im wondering what is the NAME of one cards that will work on ALL of the drives as i buying my 360 elite tomorrow and i want it shipped asap so if someone can give me the name of the card so i can buy one tonight.

after i saw the link i went to ebay.ie and i did a search for

"SATA PCI Card xbox 360" and this one came up

you have to use dual layer dvds, not regular dvds. also, go and some buy verbatums, dont waste your money on anything else. and you better hope that your new elite doesnt have the benq drive or you have just wasted your money on the card and samsung drive since you cant completly flash the benq drive yet.

The Elite will have either the Hitachi 79 or the Benq... and there's no firmware to flash either with. So no playing backups.

Yes you can get a replacement drive like the ts-samsung and spoof it as benq. The benq is flashable there just hasnt been a new firmware released for it yet.

do you think its worth to do that or should i just wait till they crack the benq drive??do you know what drive is the best to get?could you sate there FULL names so i can look them up on ebay?

i know you can swap drives no problem it is just when you swap drives you need the dvd drives special key to swap into the firmwares, you dig? so if you have no special key then no swapping.

Password. Each dvd drive is "married" to the motherboard with a unique key. If you want to replace a dvd drive, you'll first have to get the key off the original dvd drive's firmware and flash it to the new drive.
