I sold my PSP today and I told the buyer it had the 1.50 firmware on. I recently upgraded to the M33 3.52 firmware which I believe means I technically still have the 1.50 as it is an unofficial hack. I thought just formatting my memory card would revert it back to 1.50.
So is there any way I can get it back to 1.50. If not then can M33 3.52 still play homebrew ? If so then the seller probably wont mind. I am no expert as you can probably tell, any info much appreciated, thanks.

Download this RECOVERY file. Then extract it and place the RECOVERY folder in the /PSP/GAME folder.
Now boot into recovery menu (Hold R shoulder button down while turning on the PSP) Then select RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP follow the on screen instructions and you will go back to 1.50.
After the downgrade you might get a blue screen with a bunch of text if so press O and then re-enter settings. you should now be at 1.50.

Thanks. If though it was kept at 3.52 M33 could this still play homebrew ? Would all files still need to be on the memory card, as I formatted it ? Also what should the structure look like on the memory card (ie /PSP/Games, etc etc) ?
Many thanks for your great help.

Yeah 3,52 M33 can play homebrew. But if you sold it as a 1.50 PSP then you should downgrade it to 1.50 or ask the buyer if 3.52 M33 is fine.
It doesn't matter if you formated the MS. The necessary folders will still be created. (If you formated using the System Settings format option on PSP)

Cheers. Can he still play homebrew even though I formatted the memory stick ? Or do M33 files have to stay on it ? Cheers.

Yep, I did read what you said, thanks, but I wasn't sure if your comment about the card being formatted meant he could still play homebrew stuff afterwards. I see where you said all the folders would be created, but I wasn't sure if that meant I still had to re-add M33 files on to the card, or if this wasn't needed. But I am guessing now that it will be fine without the need for any additional files.

Yea, as M33 is a proper firmware, and not an emulator (Like DevHook) all the needed files are stored on the PSPs internal flash, so formatting the memory card will have no effect on the functioning of the PSP.
