I am a noob to the psp community. And I heard people kept talking about homebrew, but what is homebrew? I read the term description in afterdawn but I still dont understand? Are they another name for the back up games like ISO in the memomory stick?

Also If I mod my psp and by any chance its bricked, is it still refundable at best buy future shop ebgames.. etc?

And would u guys recommand modding slim right now? I know the firmware is newly released, but since psp slim is pretty much the same as psp, and 3.60 has everything 3.52 has, so there shouldnt be any major glitches or bugs? right?

Homebrew is games creted by the end user. People making games in their homes. They seem to be of a higher quality than most official games. They are not in any way back-up's of official games.

If your psp bricks within the first year of owning it, you can return it to sony, and say you were updating the firmware.

The Slim is not hackable properly as of yet. You need a Fat psp in order to hack it. But other than that, the problem with 3.60 M33 is that there is no 1.5 kernal, limiting the use of older homebrew.
