Hey
when im trying to burn a dvd with nero about 10seconds in it says that the dvd cannot be burned and it ejects the disc
can anybody help me with this problem please

try slowing ur burn speed down to 8x and turn off the disc at once. after that make sure ur firmware is up to date. then check to see if those maxells where made in japan. when using nero recode i also like to use advanced analysis and slow recording.

Your drive isn't seeing your media...a firmware update should fix this, but the most current version for this drive is P3.6 from here:

But it is still over two years old so I don't know how much help it will be. Might be time for a new drive.

i think you may be right about gettin a new disk drive
but i have burned dvds with it b4 but they were a differnt file type and i used dvd santa but now everytime i use hat it crashses

Old drive + new media = errors
I suspect that you would find luck with older 8X media if you could find any. http://www.supermediastore.com is a good source, but a new drive is about as much as a new stack of blanks.

I followed the link and it doesn't show a primary and secondary and no advanced tab on my pc, But I got the problem fixed. The problem was just the disc. I used another brand today and it burnt perfect. Thank you for the help it is much appreciated.

The disc may have fixed the burning error, but your DMA is still off and will cause problems.

I don't know how to fix it. I followed the link you gave me and on my pc there is no primary or advanced tab. I even downloaded a program to fix it and it said that it couldn't find something. I'll look for it again and tell you what the program says.

I uninstalled the NVIDIA IDE Driver.

What brand disc are you trying to use?
Would you be willing to try another program to burn your files such as Imgburn? If you do post a log from there as well.

Yep image drives. I will try img burn. The disc that i was using don't have a name on them, I bought them off pricewatch along time ago. I think they are just generic discs.
