I have been using DVD Decrypter and Shrink for the last 3 or so years and in the last year I have gotten lazy and been using RipIt4Me. Yesterday it all just stopped working!

Here's what happens:

1. RipIt opens fine and reads the DVD.
2. Decrypter opens and fails. The message I get is 'Failed to get AGID'

I then thought I would get with the times and try ImgBurn. So I downloaded it and was unsuccessful again.

Here's the log:

Imgburn won't read encrypted files, you need to rip to an unprotected source before using Imgburn to read a disc.

This disc has copy protection on it...use DVDFab HD Decrypter first to rip to your HDD and then use Imgburn to burn the result to disc.

I thought ImgBurn was the 'new' DVD Decrypter?

Why dosen't my DVD Decrypter work?

Imgburn is the "new" burn engine that was lifted from DVDD...macrovision bought DVDD to stop further development over two years ago so it isn't getting any more support and movie houses are putting out copy protection that makes DVDD obsolete.

I suggestd DVDFab HD Decrypter because it is the next best thing.

Thanks so much.... Now, a nother question.... may I use RipIt4Me with DVD Fab HD Decrypter? If so, how do I set that up?

Thanks again!

No, they won't work together...use one or the other. R4M takes the 3 step process and automates it for ease of use, but DVDFab HD Decrypter is only a ripper and can't be incorporated to use R4M.
