hi just wondering if anyone can give me a walkthrough on actually getting mame to work i have downloaded it when i try run it i get a screen telling me no games found please check rom paht which to me might aswell be japaneese i have,nt a clue i would greatly appreciate any help i have down loaded mame 32 for windows by the way thanx for any kind of help
Hi, which version did you download? Do you have games already on your hard drive or a cd/dvd? If you do, the program is asking you where you have them.
EX. if they are on a cd you will browse to the cd drive in your pc, usually d:
if the are in a file on your pc, you will browse or enter the path...drive,folder,file..like c:\documents and setting\my documents\games\game file
i was given advice on the proper mame to down load for window think its mame 0 118.exe bet as i said when i click run it tells me to check config as i said i may as well be reading gernam i aint got a clue when i read it ,,, then i was told i needed to down load roms which i did again still did,nt work ,,,i can open the mame file and it shows me the file contense i.e config ,rom, etc but as i said i may aswell be looking into the codes for the davinci code its all over my head
sorry the forgot to add the files are added on my hard drive when i try to run it says NO GAMES FOUND PLEASE CHECK ROMPATH SPECIFIED IN THE MAME INI FILE ,, IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME USING MAME PLEASE READ THE CONFIG SECTION ON THE CORRECT WAY TO CONFIG MAME ,,,,, if that sheds any light on my problem i would greatly apprecitate ur help cause it mean F all to me ,,,,,thnx again for taking the time to try help me
