Connect PSP to home broadband help please?

Hi, I want to set my PSp up to work via my wireless Orange Broadband connection.

When I scan it picks up the signals and I go through the setting up procedure. At the end it asks for a WPA Key. Where do I get that key from or what do I enter there for the connection to work.

Any ideas anyone?

your wpa key should be listed in your security set up for your orange b;band, it is the encoding key which protects your system from other people scoring your b;band for free. It is a string of numbers and letters. It should also be on the underside of your wirless router listed as wireless key. input the string and you should be in business :)

Thanks for the info.

I have found a WEP key and set up my PSP with the relevant info and IP address but when I test the connection I get an error message asking to check my security settings on PC.

I have looked at my firewall settings, changed a couple of things but I still cant connect.

Any ideas what I shoudl or should not have enabled on PC or PSP?

Thanks for the info. I have tried all of the instructions given on the link already and my PSP still gives me an error message.

Any other ideas please?

Choose scan.Then enter manually.ALL the information should all be on the wireless box.You MUST enter SSID on your own for a better connection.I don't know anything about Proxy server or PPoPue or something.I forgot how I got it done but I entered it manually.It makes the connections more accurate.

Hi i think the answer may be in your security settings for orange. I use BT so they may differ but there is a part that allows a wi fi to connect even though you have input the key, you may need to look there and change the setting. sorry i cant be of further help i dont think its your psp
