Hi guys,

I am intending to swap out my existing 60gb PS3 hard drive with a larger capacity one. However, I'm particularly concerned about the preservation of my contacts/friends list, the messages in my Message Box, and my online rankings (e.g. for Motorstorm). Can someone please confirm that the PS3's Backup Utility does indeed copy all of this data, and is able to successfully restore it once I've upgraded the HDD?

Most of that information is stored on the network. You won't lose anything except hdd information but that is the purpose of a backup.
