im trying to help my friend install CFW on his psp. ive done mine which was 2.71 with a TA-082 but his is a 2.71 with a non-TA-082. he doesent have the IC1003 on his mobo and he says he got his psp in japan december 2005. can someone help me find a downgrader for him?
also, at the moment i have 3.40 oe-a, should i upgrade to 3.53-M33?
can i upgrade to 3.53-M33 from 3.40 oe? or do i have to downgrade to 1.5?

3.52m33 is good so far but i suggest you go to 3.52m33-4.. its much better.. no need to reflash.. you can go to 3.52m33 then update to 3.52m33-4

oh ok (i dont even know how to downgrade 3.40 oe lol)
also when you said reflash you meant theres no need to reflash 3.40 to 1.5 right? sorry, its just that i dont want to mess it up.
also would it be possible to reupload the file? it says that its been deleted :(

thanks guys. now i have one last question. i read about pandoras battery that it it installs a partial version of 1.5 and it says "The firmware in the Memory Stick is not a full 1.50, but a minimal subset. Therefore, not all applications (such as flashers, or
recovery apps) will load."
does this mean i cant install 3.52-M33 or 3.40 oe on there?

also, what does this mean:
- The IDStorage cannot be totally restored, as there is no known way
to regenerate it properly.
