i have swap magic 3.6 and i finally got the pin to slide with the card, so i swapped the disc with my back up(devil may cry)and then hit load and a black screen came up with asian writting at top and devil may cry written under it, and that was it. it just stopped there, i waited about 5 min but it never went past that screen... i burned it with dvd decryptor and it finished successfully at 4x.i followed several guides all telling me the same way to burn the disc.... whats the problem?

Are you trying to play a PAL Game on a NTSC PS2 or the other way around.
Try patching the ISO with adr patcher, or a NTSC/PAL converter.
Then burn it and try again.

Yes you can try choosing the pal on the swap magic screen. With my SM 3.8 I also have a SPECIAL button and this too sometimes helps. But yes when loading backups with Swap Magic always choose the region of your backup.
See if that helps or not and let us know.

They do say PAL or NTSC on the box, on the computer you can explore the disc, and the there will be a SLUS or SCUS file for NTSC and a SLES or SCES for PAL backups. If you just have an ISO, you can check the file with APACHE or ISObuster to see.
