I have purchased a PSP and I am trying to download some music. The problem that I am having may be because these are music files from I-Tunes. I have downloaded the music files onto a cd and then I tried to move them on to the PSP. I do not get anything to the PSP. Any suggestions?

try copying the cd files back into iTunes. then once the files are on the itunes then you can copy and paste. if you're already doing that then sorry for wasting your time. however as long as your firmware is updated (above 1.50) then your psp will be able to play the files that you copy from itunes. if you want you can go to CUSTOM FIRMWARE or OFFICIAL firmware. ask me about custom firmware if youre interested...

I am all new to this, What will a custom firmware do for me? I have looked at the system sofware and it is telling me it is a 2.81. I will try downloading directly from itunes to the psp.

custom firwmare lets you play downloaded games and you need GTA lierty city stories (with the 2.00 update requirement) or Lumines and you then go to 1.50 and then go to 3.52 M33...if youre only interested in music then Custom firmware wont appeal to you.

Thanks for the information on the firmware, I might be interested in that on a later date. I still can not download music to the PSP, I have tried to go direcly to itunes and export to the PSP whilst in the USB mode and still nothing. Does anyone know of a test to make sure that my PSP can write to the memory card?

if its brand new then it shouldnt be a problem for writing. although your memory stick might be fake if u got it from ebay. but i really doubt its ur memory stick.
