i bought a DVD-R 16X dvd which was working great at the shop but afterwards when i came home...i played the DVD on my DVD player and the movie could be heard but i couldnot see a thing..all was white..why did that happen??..please can you help!?

It could be that your standalone player doesn't like the media the disc is burnt on. What speed and brand is the media?

You can try re-ripping the disc and then burning the files back to some reputable media if this is the case.
