ok i brought some dual layer discs from a local shop, i thought they was a bit over priced but thats what you get from a back street shop and thats all they had so i thought id give them a try (mirror 8x dvd+r, Disc ID: RICOHJPN-D01-67) £13 for a spindle of 10 and to be fair they did not look like cheap tack, the problem is ive tried to burn 2 perfectly working 360 games and all have failed at 50%, this might sound a bit wierd but xbc kills the media before it even starts to burn, ive also tried dvd decrypter and image burn but still fail at 50%, i got this message with image burn (Failed to Write Sectors 1914528 - 1914559 - Power Calibration Area Error) and it was somthing to do with the power calbration with xbc too, personaly i think it is the discs, i dont have any problems with regular dvd-r and i never had any probs with the datawrite dl media about a year ago when i had my 1st 360, any input would be helpful before i go kicking off at the shop about poor media, ive killed 8 discs and have run out of ideas, if anybody has any idea please let me know.
