hi again, *eyes really red from reading*, after looking at the many topics, and tutorials, i have become lost, since some ppl are saying, oh you dont need "this", and another topic saying oh yea.. u need "that", i just dont know what to do? or get?
ok this is what i have a Hitachi 0079FK, and some guy said i need some kind of passkey? wat the, is there another way? (i have no clue how to solder, is it easy?) and its only for this version that requires it? :(
ok i also know i need to get a specific dvd drive, but which one? ive checked some of the models from recommendations http://www.samsung.com/au/products/optic...vd/sh_d162c.asp and it doesnt even mention it can read dual layer, is this the drive im actually supposed to get?

u seem really lost m8, ok u want to flash you xbox 360 console.
To do this u need to have the rite firmware for your drive, the firmware allows your xbox to play backup games. To flash you should read this small book.

yes, that is the correct dvd drive for copying games, except it's not pre flashed with Kreon .81. i would just get it off of ebay. That passkey people are referring to can be found at MaximusGames.net if you want to find out what it is, however, i would buy it from another retailer (use google) seeing as people have had problems with that site. all it is a a chip that you solder onto your Hitachi 79 and it enables ModeB (needed for flashing).
