The only guide I can find around for backing up GC games is for streaming from a computer to the Cube, but I want to play GC backups on my Wii. Are there any guides on how to burn the games, specifically so they can be played on a modded Wii?

Just burn the .gcm file with ImgBurn on a regular DVD.

You might have to rename the .gcm to .iso, though.
