I am probably going to buy both of these games, but has anyone heard if you can use the guitar that comes with guitar hero 3 with rock band and vice versa? Please let me know. Thanks.

The guitar is wireless for guitar hero 3. It is black and based on a Gibson Les Paul. The package is priced at $99.99. As far as Rock Band goes I haven't really looked into it. I don't see why the guitar wouldn't be universal. I hope it works with the ps2 versions of the other guitar hero games. If that is the case then I might have to install the swap switch so that I can play my custom guitar hero games on my ps3 with the wireless guitar hero 3 guitar.

I agree that would be the least they could do to use the new GH3 guitar for the previous two, however I don't think it would be compatible with both Rock Band AND Guitar Hero 3

I was thinkin they may not since both games are made by different companies now. But i really dont want to spend more money on another guitar. I'd rather have the rock band guitar it looks cooler than the one packaged with guitar hero 3 in my opinion. It would be sweet if one would work with both games. Because i still have 2 guitars from guitar hero one and two and i really dont feel like having four plastic guitars sitting around.
