I think that would be AWESOME! We have a 62" HDTV, and it's so amazing playing Xbox 360 on it! And yours would support 1080p so that would make it even better!

first of all, vizio is a shitty brand, they don't make good quality tv, second of all, ur tv would be 52 inches then it would need more than just 1000:1 contrast ratio to not be blurried. most 42 inches lcd already have 15000:1 contrast ratio, that's the reason why there's big huge lcd tv for cheap price cause of the old models with low contrast ratio. u should go with the new sharp lcd tv, their rating is very high, even better than sony. don't take offended, i just wanted u folks to know what it is before spending a chunk of money on it. peace!

I agree. Most people never look at the onctrast ratio, which makes a huge difference. I prefer the plasmas right now just because I walk into a store and I can see a huge difference between them and the LCD's. Too many of these new HDTV's look like teh original laptop monitors where you could hardly see anything on them, especially at an angle.

If you are going to get a large HDTV, make sure it is 1080p and has at least 10,000:1 contrast ratio.

Vizio's are just fine. I have had my 50" for 2 years and a 42" & 26" for about a year now and when hooked up HDMI I'll be dammed if you can tell the difference between other sets. I've been running my 360 ever since I got it on my 50" and the image is flawless same with my son he plays his 360 on his 26" Vizio and the image is clean. Vizio's may not have as many features as some other brands but you won't get a better bang for you buck with Vizio. Just because it's not a Sony or Samsung doesn't mean it is crap most of the time your just paying for the name. When I bought my 42" I matched all the image settings to the exact same settings on a Samsung 42" sitting besides it and there was no difference in fact the Vizio had deeper blacks. If you go with an LCD make sure it's a newer model with the higher contrast ratio's also make sure it runs at 120hertz the older LCDs run at 60hertz which cause ghosting. 120hertz eliminates ghosting. It really comes down to what looks best to you, your the one who will be looking at it & paying for it.

Nicely put Bobalay

The newer models look promising since some support 120hz frame rate refreshing which basically eliminates any blurring or ghosting.I'm buying the New Sony KDS-60A3000 model since it supports 120hz frame rate.

It's your money so go with what you feel comfortable.Best thing I can say is if it supports 1080P then you are basically set for the future.
