Can I save and play those same games to/from my 360 hard drive?

Can I copy games to my xbox 360 hard drive and then play them from it without ever needing to use the game disc again?? Of course I know that my console would have to be modded. I know this is possible with a mod chip, larger hard drive, and new bios/firmware on the old XBOX, but can this also be done on the new xbox 360/360 elite?????

If it can be done, a list of required items would be a great help...

example:
360 blaster??
What mod chip??
What software/firmware/bios, etc.......????

well then is my option to get a dual layer burner, the 360 blaster to flash my bios, and then a mod chip??

Pardon for the ignorance but why again the mod chip if i go this route?

And again what mod chip do you recommend??

if i may please ask a question of my own.... can you please you the search bar instead of asking questions that have been asked a million times, most members do not enjoy answering the same questions day in and day out when there are plenty of topics that will answer your questions you have just asked, and future questions relating to this topic.
