i told my buddy i was sellin my premium system to buy an elite and he said they are having the same problems and that microsoft was redoing the system all together again any truth?

He might have been talking about the Falcon motherboard with 65nm processors revision. Word on the street is that we will start to see Falcon equipped 360s around x-mas time. (Though some have reported already seeing them in the wild)

i have heard the same thing. The new systes should be out end of the year or early next year and are SUPPOSED to address all of the currect issues the systems now have.

You can figure that this is true since it is costing MS billions to fix all these systems now, and even more since they have to do it for three years from your purchase date

Telling them apart will be difficult. First, look to see if the system has HDMI, if it doesn't then it most certainly in not a Falcon. Second, if it does have HDMI then look at the manufacture date. A more recent date means a better chance that the 360 is a Falcon. Look for models that were made in August or September of this year. Some people have said the July systems should be Falcons but I've seen too many reports of people getting Zephyrs in July.

All we can do it wait and hope for some actual proof.
