I have been trying this for some time, but cannot get devhook running or really fully understand what it is I need... So sorry in advance, im sure you have answered the same questions over and over !
My PSP is running System Software Version 3.71 - 2GB MS
This is what ive done so far:
1) Downloaded and ran, devhook ultimate installer v1091.exe
2) Created an ISO folder on the MS root, and put a .CSO file in it. (My understanding is that both ISO & CSO files will work in this folder)
Tried running the devhook app, but get "The Data is Corrupted"
I read that I need firmware 1.5 ?, this is what I dont understand.
hi you would be better off downgrading your psp to 1.50 and installing a custom firmware ie:3.52m33-4 or 3.71m33 asdevhook is really outdated,to downgrade you will need a pandora battery and magic memstick
Do not install 3.71 M33 until D_A releases the patch so it can support 1.50 kernel-based homebrew apps. 3.52 M33-4 is best for now. No Devhook is reqiured with 3.52 M33-4. Just place the CSO file in the folder %":\ISO\ and play it. Since your PSP is 3.71 Official (I assume as you have not stated M33 specifically), you will need to wait for D_A to release the official downgrader or simple use PAndora's Battery, which reqiured another PSP1001 will CFM or 1.50. Sorry.

If you're just planning to play ISOs then use 3.71M33.If you want to play emulators(snes,gba,psx etc)then use 3.52M33-4. 3.71M33 doesn't support emulators yet - as Crazykid3 said, 1.5 kernel patch isn't in 3.71M33 yet.Oh, you should sell your 3.71 and buy a PSP with CFW.
