1.9 is a firmware update for the wiikey chip
1.3 is a disc to access the configurations of the wiikey chip so u can change settings

The update ISO is only 40MB. In the read-me, it tells me to use the filechop.exe. I tried putting the filechop.exe in the same folder as the update ISO. I ran filechop.exe but nothing popped up. Do I need to use filechop.exe in order to burn the update ISO?

With the 1.9b update, filechop.exe, and fixsize.cmd all in the same folder.... All i did was drag my 1.9bupdate.iso file into the fixsize.cmd and it worked for me. After that, just burn the iso.

Ok, I'm having a weird problem.
I burned the 1.3 config with imgburn. Put it in the wii and it saw it as a gamecube disk. But when I started it it tells me an error has occured and to turn off the wii and check the manual. What am I doing wrong here?

i am also having some problems with "fixchop" and "fixsize" not doing anything. i see a window briefly pop up when i drag my bootdisc.us file into it, but then nothing happens.
is there any way one of you guys can post a version that is already expanded?
i have no idea how to fix this.
thanks!

I also had a problem with the update disc
I fixed it by opening the iso file and saving it again as an iso file
it then was 1.35 gb

just use cmd prompt
navigate in dos to the folder its stored in - for ease copy the update and config disc and filechop.exe to the root of the c drive then once there type
C: (press enter)
filechop.exe wkupdate.1.9b.pal.iso 1459978240 - or change pal to jap or us (press enter)
for the config disc
type
filechop.exe bootdisc.pal.iso 1459978240 - or change pal to jap or us
(press enter)
really not all that difficult

*correction... so both fixsize.cmd AND filechop.exe worked in changing the file size to what you suggested... BUT, neither of them were able to boot up. I got the GC welcome screen, but an error message afterwards.
I have burned games before at 3x using imgburn and used the same process for this bootdisc, but no luck.
any ideas?

Hmm ... weird how it doesn't work for some of you guys. My 40mb iso file became 1.35gb after I dragged the iso into fixsize.cmd. I am on Vista, used a Verbatim dvd, and imgburn at 2x speed. Or just do it the way Thinone said.
