So yea..i went to update...and it gave me this message that if the wii was modified then the update will cause the wii to not operate...anyone have any more info or by passing it to upgrade? i couldn't find much on the net.

O_O.....i'm scared..

Yes, go to the wii and do a update, it will give a warning and chance to turn off the wii....=/

ugh...i hope theres away aroudn this

What update is this? if your talking 3.0 then its just a caution warning and it does absolutly nothing to your wii you will be fine

Please change your thread title, you'll scare some people and confuse them.

We've known about the message for a while. The update will NOT brick your Wii.

i think due to the chance of a nintendo update bricking a wii because of region incompatability, nintendo have included that warning so they cannot be held responsible for claims against them should you be running an imported game on a modded different region wii

i dont think that they would knowingly damage a console, doing so would not help its reputation nor would it help the game sales as we still buy games no matter what we run on the console

they are just covering their asses imho

Dude, seriously don't go posting a thread with a title like that and then ask if it's true. From your statement in the thread title, you make is sound like you know this to be a fact. This is very old news and as stated above this will NOT brick your wii. We're gunna have noobs freaking out all over the place. Don't post your opinion as fact please.
