it's ok to upgrade it using this link:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/1209
it says that I can't run homebrew or downgrade, the things is that I want PS1 games (EBOOT.pbp) work on my PSP.

do not upgrade to that. that is official sony firmware.

follow this miniguide, by larrylje, and you'll be able to upgrade to 3.52 m33-4 with no problems.

Originally posted by larrylje:
Follow the below steps to recover to 1.50...

First off make sure your PSP is plugged in to the AC Adapter. Keep your PSP plugged in the whole time you are doing these steps.

The PSP also needs to have a battery charge level of 75% or higher. To check the Battery level go to your system settings then battery information. It will give you the % level there. If it is lower then 75% turn off the PSP and let it charge till it is over 75% (I would recommend charging it to 100$)

Now it is time to downgrade to 1.50

Format your memory Stick using PSP system settings.

Download this RECOVERY file.

Extract the file which will extract a RECOVERY folder. Now connect the PSP to PC via USB. Place the RECOVERY folder in the /PSP/GAME folder of the PSP Memory Stick.

Now go to recovery menu.

Do this by turning off the PSP. Hold the power button up till the power led turns off. Now hold the R shoulder button down and keep it down while turning the PSP on.

The Recovery menu should come up. When it does select the option "RUN PROGRAM AT /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP follow the on screen instructions and it will downgrade your PSP back to 1.50 firmware (After it downgrades you might get a blue screen with a bunch of text. If you get this screen just hit O and the PSP will reboot and you will need to enter your settings).

Go to the System Settings then system information and make sure it says 1.50 before continuing to the above guide to go to 3.52 M33-4.

-----------------------------
Below is the files and directions to update to 3.52 m33-4.

3.52 M33 HERE

3.52 M33-4 HERE

3.52 firmware HERE

1.50 firmware HERE

Download the 3.52 M33 CFW linked above. Extract the file.

Download both the 1.50 and 3.52 firmware. You need to re-name the 3.52 firmware to 352.PBP the 1.50 firmware to 150.PBP. Then add them to the M33CREATOR folder.

Now copy the M33CREATOR folder and the kxploitpatcher and kxploitpatcher% folders to the PSP MS directory of ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the KXploit Permanent Patcher (There is 1 that says corupt data this is normal). It should run and say patched successfully and reboot back to the XMB.

Now go to game Menu Memory Stick and run the M33CREATOR.

After you run the M33CREATOR it should reboot back to the XMB. It should have created a 3.52 M33 update which you need to select in the Game Menu Memory Stick.

It will flash the files to the PSP and you should be at 3.52 M33 firmware. If it is then format your MS.

Now extract the 3.52 M33-4 update.

Drag the PSP folder that is in the update M33-4 into the root of the MS overwriting the files when it asks you to. Now go to Game Menu Memory Stick and run the m33-4 update. This will only take a few seconds.

After the update is finished check and make sure it says 3.52 M33-4 for firmware. If it does say 3.52 m33-4 then format the MS 1 more time.

You are now updated to 3.52 M33-4.

many thanx, I think this's what I really want, just one last question before doing this ( just to make sure) I'm really interested that my PSP runs PS1 games (EBOOT.pbp files),
so if this PSP V3.52 M33-4 does run PS1 games(EBOOT.pbp files), then well done! I'll do the steps.
if not, well what's the deal???

well, i haven't personally tried psx eboots yet, so i can't go into details about them.

if they don't work, then either it's a bad psx rip, or the eboot was created wrong. also, you will have to mess with the popsloader, and try different firmwares.

Yes you can, and BTW, that error code you're getting usually only shows if you are putting the EBOOT in the wrong folder, so, in case you didn't know, it goes here:

ms0:/PSP/GAME/Game_Name/EBOOT.PBP (+Keys.BIN if there is one)

PSP, all the way from 1.00 to 5.50 GEN D2 - DS Lite w/ M3DS Real (M3 Sakura v1.34)
PS3 3.01 - iPod Touch 2G 16GB Jailbroken - Xbox 360 60GB - PC, Q6600, 3GB DDR2, GTX260 (216) 896MB

the thing is, that I've upgrade my PSP to OE-B
and I put the game file in the (OE-B update folder) and I replaced it with the first file (EBOOT.pbp), and when I run the game this error appears: 80010002

Now, I've done what you told me, and put the game file the game folder (which was empty) I made a folder with the name of the game, and put the game file in it.

when I went to games menu I found the first icon (OE-B update) is a: curropt data, and I found a new icon for the game, I run the game and this error appeared: CA000005

CA000005 - keys.bin not found when trying to run a PS1 game.

Are you sure it didn't come with a keys.bin file? If so, make sure you put it with the eboot.

Actually, you only really need up to update it to M33 3.52. I have a link to an auto installer if you want it. It'll at least get you 3.52 M33, where PSone isos will work straight away, w/ no keys. In fact, here it is:

http://rapidshare.com/files/45823513/3.52_M33_Auto.rar

Enjoy. It's in Spanish, so it's difficult to figure out if you don't use the read me I wrote to go w/ it. Make sure you use that and it's easy as pie!

what's the difference between V3.52 M33-4 and V3.52 M33?
I think I'm gonna upgrade to V3.53 M33-4 and I hope that it runs PS1 games (EBOOT) not only (ISO's)

You can only update to 3.52 M33-4 after you've installed 3.52 M33, -4 is just a patch, it's a patch worth getting though.

As mentioned before, 3.52 M33 shouldn't need the keys.bin, do your games still not work?

Why do you want the recovery files? You can upgrade to 3.52 M33 straight from 3.02 OE-B
