Is it required to have a 1.5 fat psp to make this?

I'm trying to downgrade my PSP slim so I cna get 3.6 on there.

Let's say hypothetically I have the files on my PC.

And let's say I plug my MS into a card reader or my psp slim, and I just put the files from my PC onto the memory card. Does that work? (Assuming I have a Pandora battery already)
