windows xp won't acknowledge my sata harddrive

i need some help, i have a nforce 590 sli motherboard, and i have a western digital 250 gig sata hard drive. well to make a long story short i had to restore my computer, and now i'm reinstalling windows but it doesn't see my sata drive to partition it. i tried putting the cd in the pc that came with the hard drive but it does nothing. i know the sata drives work because when i look in my bios its there. i don't get it, what can i do to get the windows xp disk to see my hard drive. can someone help me please

Maybe this site will help you out. You will have to install the SATA drivers. http://cruftbox.com/blog/archives/000867.html

If you do not have a floppy drive, they are really cheap.
