Hi there,i tried to rebuild Gran Turismo 4 from dvd 9 to dvd 5,did all the steps from the guide which is posted on this forum.
When i start the game it shows the first screen "All the brands " bla bla then the analog light turns on then the screen stays black.
Currently i'm using swap magic 3.6 to boot the game.
Any idea what might be the trouble?I patched the image using toxic dual layer patch could be the problem?
I don't know if this is what actually caused the problem, but why would you patch it Toxic Dual Layer Patch? You are REBUILDING the game so it fits on a standard DVD, and not trying to burn the game as DVD9 (dual-layer) game--so doing that was completely unnecessary not to mention trivial and could very well be the problem.
When i downloaded the game,i burned it to dvd9 and tried with swap magic,it didnt work.So i applyed the patch,burned another and didnt work either,so i googled a little and found out that swap magic doesnt boot dvd9 games.That's when i ripped the game to dvd5.Actually i found out the problem,when i was rebuild the game i as dragging to the pss downsampler window a file which wasnt a pss file,that was the problem.
The problem htat i have now is that my gt4 in some windows,when we move the cursor it leaves a trail like this:

I believe it is a problem with two files that are changed do to toxic patch and to the ripper patch,if any one could post both in a rar file in rapidshare i would apreciate it.My version is pal.
The files are ioprp300.img and sces_517.19.
