Hi there fella sounds to me the firmware is not allowing you to upgrade, this can happen with certain f/w , to stop you updating by accident. you need to downgrade using the jigstick with battery, i could make you one if you are having problems! only for a small donation would be required well only if you want to i suppose let me know.payments through paypal are easier .

No harm intended and even though i don't know much about chat rooms and psp's, i do know you're meant to be sharing advice not pointlessly bitchin and joking about people you don't know.
And about that link to his previous conversation, the pandora's battery didn't work on his psp because it was more than just bricked thru firmware corruption. He knows what he's doing just thought he could possibly make a bit of money out of it, not initially knowing it was available for free by others. He eventually stripped the psp and found that the psp had blew on the main motherboard and he has now replaced it and the unit is running fine along with the pandora's battery.
